Quick Summary
Wemo schedules that don't fire are almost always caused by one of three things: the device was offline when the schedule was supposed to run, the time zone is set incorrectly in the app, or the schedule rule has a conflict with another rule. Check these in order — the time zone issue is surprisingly common and easy to miss.
Symptom Diagnosis
Step 1: Verify Device is Online Open the Wemo app and confirm the device shows as online. If offline: power cycle and reconnect before testing the schedule.
Step 2: Check Time Zone Settings Wemo app → tap the device → Settings → Time Zone. Confirm the time zone matches your actual location. If it's wrong: update it and re-save your schedule rules.
Step 3: Review the Schedule Rule Wemo app → tap the device → Rules (or Schedule). Check each rule: is it enabled? Is the day of week correct? Is it set to repeat? Delete and recreate any rule that looks incorrect.
Step 4: Check for Conflicting Rules Review all rules and ensure there are no overlapping or conflicting times.
Step 5: Delete and Recreate the Schedule Wemo app → tap the device → Rules → swipe left on the rule → Delete. Create a new rule from scratch. Test by setting the rule to fire 2 minutes from now.
Step 6: Update Firmware Wemo app → tap the device → Settings → Firmware Update. Install any available updates.
