If your router uses the same name for both bands (band steering): temporarily disable band steering in your router settings and connect the lock to the 2.4 GHz band explicitly. You can re-enable band steering after the lock is set up. The lock requires WPA2 or WPA3 security. WEP networks are not supported. Ensure the Wi-Fi password does not contain special characters that may cause issues during setup. Remove the battery pack from the lock (located on the interior side). Wait 30 seconds. Reinsert the battery pack. The lock will play a startup chime and the keypad will briefly illuminate. Wait 60 seconds for the lock to fully restart and attempt to reconnect to your Wi-Fi network. Open the Yale Access app and check if the lock shows as Online.
